Living to the lunar has the following challenges:
- Temperature: The moon's surface experiences extreme temperature fluctuations, ranging from -248°C to 123°C (-414°F to 253°F). Without an atmosphere to moderate the temperature, astronauts would need to wear protective suits and live in shelters.
- Radiation: The moon is constantly bombarded by radiation from the sun, which can cause the lunar soil to become electrostatically charged. This charge can make the dust levitate, increasing the likelihood of it getting into people's lungs and equipment.
The temperature on the lunar is also intense, ranging from -248 to 123 degrees Celsius (-414 to 253 degrees Fahrenheit). To make the Moon habitable, we would need to live in shelters. In addition to protecting us from meteorites, radiation and toxic lunar dust , a sealed shelter would allow us to breathe.
